Not being okay, is okay to the extent it doesn't snatch from you, what defines you.

Our mission is to create a sense of awareness about Psychological issues such as mental health.  While having a significant impact on our lives, we often notice that these issues are not given priority or openly discussed due to preconceived notions or the fact that it just makes some of us uncomfortable. This is a platform to show that individual acts of kindness and compassion, even as simple as lending a few ears, can positively transform the lives of many around us.

What We Aim to Achieve

Welcome to The Emotional Wheel!  For me, Ahana Sehgal, a student of Psychology at the Scottish High International School, Gurugram, it has been a dream to help facilitate a medium for anyone to come forth to learn, express and discuss matters related to the field of Psychology, especially those regarding mental well-being. Our aim is to to put forward our stories, experiences, as well as just discussing and putting forth our viewpoints about disorders and more. You may want to be a passive reader, an active participant, or a critic, but your opinion does matter.  So hope that you enjoy the journey as much as I look forward to making this an interesting forum with something for everyone.

Founder

Ahana Sehgal

Hello everyone! I'm Ahana Sehgal, a Grade XII student at the Scottish High International School, Gurugram.  I was introduced to Psychology as a school subject, and soon it turned out to be much more than that.  It is intriguing, complex, fascinating, and at the same time beautiful and so very delicate. It delves deep into the human psyche, expanding the way we think, behave and act; to make us want to know more and look at things from a different perspective.  The subject has always drawn interest in me to get to a medium to gather varied opinions, especially on matters such as mental well-being for many voices remain unheard and thoughts unspoken for fear of social stigma.

Creating this website has been a dream in itself for me, and I would absolutely love to talk and connect with as many people as possible through it. Losing friends, having problems in a relationship, not doing well at school, things not being the best at home, are okay, it is a part of life, but having someone to talk to, or putting across your thoughts are very important as this is very closely associated with our mental health. I hope that this website offers a platform for anyone to express their thoughts and talk about their journeys. The Emotional Wheel has got your back, and will never let you down! Life may not be perfect, but should be an amazing experience for everyone.
